Rising Resin Costs: A Note on Netting Prices

Crude is up and resin has followed — netting prices have adjusted across the range. What we are doing (and not doing), and what we ask of customers this season.

A short, honest note for everyone buying netting from us this season. Crude oil has climbed hard through 2026 — Brent has been trading well above $100 a barrel through the autumn — and polyethylene resin has followed it up, as it always does. Knitted netting is polymer sold by weight, so when resin moves, the cost of every roll moves with it. Raw material costs across our product range have risen, and our prices have adjusted accordingly. This note explains what is happening, what we are doing about it, and what we would ask of the customers who keep this factory running.

What Happened: From Oil to Resin to Netting

The chain is simple and nobody in it has a choice. Crude oil sets the cost of polyethylene feedstock; polyethylene resin sets the cost of every kilogram of netting we knit. Through 2026 the pressure has run one direction: crude benchmarks have pushed to their highest levels in years, and resin has tracked them upward. For a netting manufacturer there is no hedge against physics — polymer is the product, and the product costs what the polymer costs. The same pressure is hitting every netting factory on earth at the same time, which is why you are seeing adjusted prices from every serious supplier, not just from us.

When Resin Gets Tight, Delivery Gets Tight

One more thing worth saying while the market is hot: in a fast-moving resin market, mills occasionally pause quoting or tighten allocations, and production schedules across the industry stretch. We hold our own resin pipeline carefully, but the universal advice stands: for season-critical programs — a harvest window, a construction schedule, a storm season — confirm orders early. A deposit on the books is a production slot secured; a program left open in a tight market is a schedule risk nobody can insure afterward. If your program has a hard date, tell us the date and we will plan backward from it with you.

For Our Long-Standing Customers

A direct word for the buyers who have been with us for years. Your specs are on file and your pricing is re-confirmed order by order, as it always has been — the only thing that changes this season is the number, and we will always tell you the week it moves, with the reason attached. That is the same straight dealing we built the relationship on, and it is how we intend to keep it.

What We Are Doing at Our End

Three commitments hold regardless of where resin goes. Quality does not move: we knit from 100% virgin HDPE with the same UV-stabilizer packages dosed per batch — the answer to expensive resin is not cheaper resin. A net that fails early because we quietly switched material is a cost to you far larger than a price adjustment. Pricing stays honest: we quote against current resin costs, and quotes are re-confirmed at order time — so the number on your PI reflects the real material picture on the day you commit, not a padded guess at the future. We absorb what we can through efficiency: tighter production scheduling, less waste per roll, better container loading — the internal work that keeps as much of the increase as possible off your invoice.

What We Are Not Doing

Worth stating directly, because buyers ask: we are not swapping in recycled or blended resin to hold a price point, not thinning the UV package, and not padding freight or packing charges to move the number around instead of through it. The adjustment you see is the material cost and nothing else — the same fabric, the same QC chain, the same loading records. We would rather have a shorter margin line this year than a shorter customer list next year.

What We Ask of You

Two things, plainly. First, understanding: adjusted prices reflect an input cost no manufacturer controls, and we would rather explain that openly than quietly downgrade the fabric. Second, timing: if you have a program planned for the coming months, talk to us now rather than later — confirmed orders lock current production slots and current material allocations, and in a rising market the earliest conversation is the cheapest one. Long-term and container-program buyers: bring us the schedule and we will plan production around it together.

For Buyers Planning Ahead

A few practical notes for working through a rising market. Quotes move with resin — a price from two months ago is not a promise for today; we will always re-confirm before you commit, so ask for a fresh quote when you are ready. Specs stay flexible — if you are weighing two GSM grades, the current market is the right time to ask whether the lighter grade serves the duty; we will tell you honestly where it does and where it does not. The process is unchanged: samples remain free with the courier on you, MOQ stays at 2 tons with mixed products in one container, and production runs 25–35 days after deposit. Rising costs change the numbers, not the way we work.

A Straight Answer on the Outlook

Customers keep asking when prices come back down, and the honest answer is that we do not forecast oil. What we can commit to is the mechanism: when resin falls, our prices follow it down — the same rule that moves them up moves them back, and the customers who have bought from us for years have watched that work in both directions. If you are planning next season’s program, the useful move is not waiting for a prediction — it is staying in touch with us on the current picture. Send your product, spec and destination port via the contact page or WhatsApp and we will tell you plainly where costs stand this week. For the ordering process itself, the first-order guide walks the track from RFQ to container, and the full product range is on the products page.

Rising Costs: FAQ

Are prices up on all your products?

Resin is the shared input across our range, so yes — the adjustment covers all product families, in proportion to the polymer content of each. The size of the change is on your quote, calculated from current material costs, not from a flat percentage.

Will the quality change to hold prices down?

No. We knit 100% virgin HDPE with the same UV-stabilizer packages, and we would rather adjust a price than downgrade a fabric. The net you tested is the net you get.

Can I lock a price for a future order?

Confirmed orders lock the pricing on the PI — the number is firm once the deposit lands. For programs spread over months, talk to us about scheduling production slots against your calendar.

When will netting prices come back down?

Honestly, nobody can forecast oil, and we will not pretend to. What we commit to is symmetry: when resin falls, prices follow it down. Customers who have been with us for years have seen that work both ways.

How do I get this week’s pricing?

Send your product, spec, quantity and destination port via the contact page or WhatsApp. We reply within 24 hours with pricing calculated on the current material picture — the same-day number, not a stale one.
