Netting Import Guide: MOQ, Shipping & Customs

Importing HDPE netting is a numbers game — MOQ, container load, lead time, payment and customs. Here is how our export customers plan a container so it lands when their season needs it.

rolled HDPE netting packed for container export

Importing HDPE netting is a numbers game — MOQ, container load, lead time, payment terms and customs all sit between you and the order. Get them wrong and a good price turns into an expensive delay. This is how our export customers plan a container so it lands when their harvest or project needs it.

MOQ: What 2 Tons Actually Means

Our standard minimum order is 2 tons per specification (5 tons for warning/barrier net). Two tons is workable for a trial order before you commit to a full container, and it is small enough to test a new mesh or GSM on your own ground first. Because we knit in our own Changzhou factory rather than trading, MOQ is about covering a knitting run, not inflating your order.

Container Math: 40HQ Loads 14–15 Tons

A 40HQ container loads roughly 14–15 tons of rolled netting. That is the number to plan around: it sets how many specifications you can mix in one shipment, and it is why importers often combine several product lines — shade net, bird net, hail net — in a single container program. The full range is on our product list.

Payment Terms and Lead Time

Standard terms are T/T 30% deposit with 70% balance, or 100% L/C at sight. Production runs 25–35 days after deposit, depending on quantity and specification; a 1×40HQ is 30 days, 2×40HQ is 45, and 3×40HQ is 60. Work backwards from your season — in agriculture the window is fixed, and a sailing schedule waits for no one.

Samples Before the Container

Standard constructions ship as free samples; you pay freight only. Test the mesh, the edge finishing and the hand-feel on your own soil or site before a container lands. A sample costs a courier fee; a wrong container costs a season. For a closer look at how price breaks down across GSM and resin, see our shade net price guide, and our supplier vetting checklist covers the paper trail to demand.

Customs, Incoterms and Documentation

Confirm your Incoterm (FOB, CIF or DDP) before quoting, because it decides who carries freight, insurance and customs clearance. Ask your supplier for the full export document set: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and any certificate of origin. A factory that exports regularly has these ready; a trader assembles them slowly. We export worldwide with freight-conscious packing to keep your landed cost down.

Netting Import FAQ

What is the minimum order to import netting?

Our MOQ is 2 tons per specification, 5 tons for warning/barrier net. Two tons is enough for a trial order before you commit to a full 40HQ container of 14–15 tons.

How long does an order take from deposit to delivery?

Production is 25–35 days after deposit, then add shipping time to your port. A single 40HQ is 30 days; two containers 45; three containers 60.

What payment terms do you accept?

T/T with 30% deposit and 70% balance, or 100% L/C at sight. Confirm your preferred Incoterm before quoting so freight and clearance are clear from the start.

Can I mix product lines in one container?

Yes — a 40HQ loads 14–15 tons, and importers often combine shade net, bird net and hail net in one container program for consistent quality and a single shipping cost.

Golden rule

Lock MOQ, container load, lead time and payment terms before you compare prices — the numbers, not the quote, decide the landed cost. Tell us your requirements and we will quote factory-direct.
